Perfect

I just spent the most fantastic week in Florida visiting my best friend, her husband, and their new baby.

I seem to be prone to natural disasters lately. This picture was taken at a Pizza Hut along Highway 75 which we had to evacuate because the median was all ablaze with brush fires. Did you know that Pizza Hut has a wine list?

Besides dodging brush fires, I mostly spent a lot of time on the couch with the baby. It was great fun.

We played

We slept

There was a lot of bonding happening

I miss them already.

Dry Fee's Big Adventure

One of my favorite places in San Francisco is The Palace of Fine Arts.

This building represents a lot of the feelings I have for San Francisco.

It's very difficult to photograph.

I feel like I'm in another country here.

The proportions are overwhelming.

This group of Japanese tourists really puts the scale of things in perspective.

Turns out the Japanese tourists really liked Dryfus...

...look for him on a billboard the next time you're in Tokyo!

Despite the jarring unframiliary and the unavoidable beauty that is San Francisco.

I feel so calm here.

Just around the corner from The Palace of Fine Arts is Doggy Heaven...

Dryfus thinks a lot about going in the water

But when he finally makes the move

He turns into the biggest panzy EVER!

Oh well, I guess it is kind of scary, with The Rock so close

I swear, this is not a postcard! I really live here.

Earthquakes, Hail, and lots of Boars

Wow, it has been a crazy two weeks in Northern California. First of all, there were two earthquakes!! Neither of which I felt.

Then there was this crazy hail storm.

That turned everything white for like two minutes.

And then it was Chinese New Year!

2007 is the year of the Boar

So, there were little piggies everywhere!

Really, everywhere.

The night ended with a parade.

I am a sucker for a good parade. I love them. This one was really good. It was filled with so much color and movement, my camera couldn't keep up.

This is when part of the dragon's tail (there were many dragons) flew right over me. It was very exciting.

Here come the piggies!

Shakin' their rumps.

Happy New Year from SF!
